Land; its situated beneath our vision, our mission, our dreams, our birthrights, our business, our ministry.

What Value do we know it to have in comparison to the drafted blue-print building plans, and architectural design of the building, to the research we’ve gathered from community on the history, and lifestyles of the people whom have inhibited the area before us?

Land has influenced our history, and it influences our whole lives, everyday in many contexts. Consider these familiar words, adjectives, and idioms: Groundbreaking, Trailblazing, Off the Beaten Path, Pioneering, Fertile, Productive, Vibrational, Tumultuous, Earth Shattering, Groundwork, Foreground, Ungrounded, Outlandish, Motherland, Wonderland,…etc. To add are these land root words: Landscapes, Slanderous, Landlord, Landholder, Mainlander, Highlander, Landslides, Landscaping, Borderland, Landmasses, Wastelands, Dreamlands,..etc… Likely the occupation of Farmer, Gardener, Ecologist, Botanist, Archeologist, Geologist, Forester, ..etc… are people whom would be most familiar with land in the context of nature, production, and preservation;…. however even still, …there is more,…..beneath the surface.

Spiritually, We desire to behold God’s perspective on the value and purpose of land, in relation to God’s intimacy and purpose for us. A compelling Bible reference about land is Jacob and Bethel Genesis 35:1-15. From this passage, we can clearly assess that God gave a piece of land to Jacob. It was personal. A gift from God, for Jacob to steward. Similarly, in the Beginning, when the land Eden was established for Adam and Eve to steward. God had a plan, and with that the plan included stewarding the land. Jacob’s spirit was activated on this land, as he experienced intimacy with God, while he was presently there. Jacob left. Most of us would look at the story and say “Why would you leave a place like that?!” But most of us don’t realize the value of land through God’s perspective, and we perceive that Bethel is figuratively a “place” we can take with us wherever we want to go, or wherever we happen to be. It doesn’t seem to work that way. Instead God Creates, and Establishes land, leads us there, in His timing, encounters us there, and gives the land a Name, while we are there, and assigns us to steward the land. Wow our God is so Intimately Personal, and Powerful! Land doesn’t move to us,…we visit or move to land. The Land is carrying treasures that God has placed there, and it’s part of our assignment to unpack the treasures within the land, just as God is also unpacking the treasures within us. Think about it, during the 7 days of Creation, God created the Heaven and the Earth, then Man…but first He created the land, knowing He was assigning particular places, for us to steward. He assigned Adam to Name the creatures, and then man named or titled lands of geography, but God knows The Name of the Land, and reveals it, when we are on it. It’s like a “Match made in Heaven” or a “Divine Occurrence”. Fortunately, Jacob came to realize,..and he uprooted his entire family, business, place of worship, ..his whole life, and world that he had built, he moved it all to the land God had gifted him, to steward, the land God named Bethel.

Bethel is personal to Jacob. In summary, our birthright, calling, destiny, etc…is supernaturally coupled with Land that has a special name, and a special purpose where unpacking of treasures occur between God, us, and…. that Land.
